In the first lesson, we began by being briefed on the criteria and the theme of our design work which would be contrasts. We were then given the task of looking up different types of photos and artists relevant to the subject, then gathering a collection of ones which were interesting to us which we should be using to draw inspiration from as we begin to experiment and formulate ideas.
We were then shown the Basic functions of the camera e.g zoom, focus, shutter speed ect. before we were taken into the workshop in order to experiment with taking out own photos and adjusting the light and focus for ourselves.
